ResilienceSOS®

From idea to operating system. Wonder & Wander helped founder Susie O'Sullivan stress-test her framework, develop the prototype, and connect with the right design team to bring ResilienceSOS® to life.

ResilienceSOS® turns disengaged, checkbox-driven risk management into powerful, people-led conversations that spark real action. It's a strategic operating system that fuses risk management, change management, and behavioural science.

01 / The engagement

From raw concept to market-ready operating system

Susie O'Sullivan came to Wonder & Wander with a powerful instinct and a bold idea: that the reason risk management fails in most organisations isn't the tools or the processes — it's the conversations. What followed was a structured innovation advisory engagement that took her from raw concept to a fully realised, market-ready operating system.

  1. 01

    Idea Stress Test

Susie arrived with a powerful instinct: risk management was broken because the conversations were broken. Wonder & Wander worked with her to pressure-test the core hypothesis — interrogating the market gap, the behavioural science underpinning, and the real problem organisations were experiencing. We asked the hard questions so the framework could stand up to them.

  2. 02

    Framework Development

From hypothesis to architecture. We helped Susie develop and refine the two core frameworks that now define ResilienceSOS®: the EMBED Framework (Engage, Motivate, Build, Enact, Deepen) — a layered approach to building resilience culture — and the Action Equation (Prevent, Contain, Rebound, Reframe) — a plain-English tool for turning risk conversations into clear actions.

  3. 03

    Prototype & Validation

Before investing in full production, we helped Susie build a working prototype of the ResilienceSOS® operating system — enough to test with real organisations, gather feedback, and validate that the framework delivered the behaviour change it promised. This stage saved significant time and investment by confirming product-market fit before the full build.

  4. 04

    Design Team Connection

Once the framework was validated and the product architecture was clear, Wonder & Wander connected Susie with the right design team to bring ResilienceSOS® to life visually. The result: a bold, distinctive brand — black, white, red, all-caps confidence — and a fully realised product suite including pathways, tools, workshops, and digital presence.

02 / The frameworks

The frameworks we built together

Two interlocking frameworks now sit at the heart of the ResilienceSOS® operating system.

Framework 1

The EMBED Framework

A layered approach to building resilience culture — layer by layer, conversation by conversation.

  1. EngageMake resilience relevant to everyone
  2. MotivateCultivate a culture that embraces risk conversations
  3. BuildEquip your people with practical tools
  4. EnactTurn conversations into clear actions
  5. DeepenStrengthen resilience with each new opportunity
Framework 2

The Action Equation

A simple yet powerful tool to turn risks into responses — plain English, real outcomes.

  1. PreventSpot and avoid potential issues
  2. ContainLimit the impact when things go wrong
  3. ReboundRecover quickly and come back stronger
  4. ReframeSee adversity as fuel for growth
03 / What Wonder & Wander delivered

The thinking, structure & connections that made execution possible

This was an innovation advisory engagement — not execution, but the thinking, structure, and connections that made execution possible. We brought 20+ years of product strategy, behavioural design, and ecosystem thinking to help Susie build something that would actually work in the real world.

04 / The result

Risk management is broken because the conversations are broken.

ResilienceSOS® is now a fully realised strategic operating system — live at resiliencesos.com — with four distinct pathways (Empower Me, Supercharge Your Learning, Activate Your Team, Transform Your Organisation), a suite of practical tools, and a bold, distinctive brand that stands apart in the risk management space.

05 / What Sarah brought

Rigour, architecture and the right room

This engagement drew on Sarah's 20+ years at the intersection of innovation, customer experience, behavioural change, and systems thinking — including executive leadership roles in banking and large-scale organisational transformation. She brought the strategic rigour to stress-test the framework, the design thinking to shape the product architecture, and the network to connect Susie with exactly the right people to bring it to life.

  • 01

    Strategic Rigour

Pressure-testing assumptions, validating market fit, and ensuring the framework was built on solid behavioural science foundations.

  • 02

    Product Architecture

Designing the pathway structure, tool suite, and product layers that make ResilienceSOS® a scalable operating system — not just a workshop.

  • 03

    Network & Connection

Connecting Susie with the right design team, at the right time, with the right brief — so the visual identity matched the intellectual depth of the product.

“Risk management is broken because the conversations are broken.”
